Farewell to Allan Heifetz

Allan Heifetz, an original director and Secretary of the Fort Pierce South Beach Association died on June 9^th from the ravages of cancer at the early age of sixty-four. Allan, along with a few others, contributed a great deal of effort and expertise to keep the small port of Fort Pierce from becoming a large container port. In addition he was a hard worker with the South Beach Association in our endeavor to limit the building densities here on South Beach. That fight resulted in our city government adopting and adding the South Beach Overlay to the City Comprehensive Plan thus protecting, insuring, and maintaining the quality of life for our residents here on South Beach.

Our sincere condolences go to his loving and supporting wife Eva.

His efforts and knowledge will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
